Juniors beat the team from St. Petersburg

The players of the U16 national team joined the fight from the first seconds of the game. They quickly responded to the attacks of the Petersburgers and even managed to attack themselves, as evidenced by the fact that by the end of the first period they had already managed to score two goals against the Petersburgers.

The match was dynamic, interesting, replete with removals, playing in unequal lineups. It should be noted that the teams managed to realize their numerical advantage only once, and there were enough opportunities for this.

During the second period, the teams exchanged sharp attacks and it was not always easy for the hockey players of the national team to recoup. And yet, the players of the U16 team succeeded, and the victory remained with them, although not without nerves and emotions.

The coach of the junior team noted that the first period was left for his wards, but in the second and third periods it was felt that the hockey players were tired, a little exhausted, from which discipline, teamwork began to suffer, weaknesses and shortcomings began to appear. This slightly undermined the pace of the game and made the victory more tense. He noted that his wards could win in a more confident and calm rhythm.

He also noted the quality of the national team's play in the minority and added that the game in 3x5 obviously still needs to be worked on.
